How does the online trade-in service work?

  • To be accepted, your item must be in perfect condition. Please refer to our trade-in conditions.
  • Select the items you wish to resell and follow the online steps to create your account and identify the products.
  • Once your trade-in request has been submitted, print the transfer form, sign it, and include it in your parcel.
  • Send us your items by post using the prepaid shipping label provided (free of charge). Pack your items in a box of your choice.
  • Once your parcel is received, our Quality Experts will inspect your items. If they meet the trade-in criteria, you will be notified by email within 15 days and receive your credit in your Claudie Seconde Main account.
  • By going to the “My Credits” section in your account, you can generate one or more vouchers valid for 12 months from the date of issue, redeemable:
  • If several of your items are accepted, you will receive a total credit corresponding to the value of all approved items.

In what form will I receive payment for my items, and do I need to wait until they are sold?

Once your items have been inspected and approved by our Quality Experts, you will receive payment in the form of credit in your account under “My Credits.” You can then generate a voucher to use:

What are the acceptance criteria, and do you return items that are rejected?

Trade-in conditions:

  • Items must be clean and in perfect condition (zippers, seams, and elastic in working order), with no holes, tears, stains, or odors.
  • Items must not have been altered and must include all original buttons and embellishments.
  • Items must have the brand label as well as care and composition labels.
  • All items must be legally owned by the person using the trade-in service.

We accept items in the following conditions only:

  • New: with original tags, never worn
  • Excellent condition: like new, with no signs of wear or defects
  • Very good condition: only minor signs of wear, not visible from 30 cm away

We do not accept items in any other condition (damaged, worn out, stained, torn, misshapen, dirty, missing internal labels, etc.).

In accordance with our Terms & Conditions, non-compliant items will be rejected and will not be returned. However, rest assured that these items will be given a second life through donations to charities or upcycling programs.

I sent several items in one parcel, but I only received credit for one of them

To ensure better traceability in our workshop, each item is assigned a unique tracking number. As a result, even if you send multiple items in one parcel, you will receive a separate email for each item.

If your items are not inspected and cleaned at the same time (e.g. a wool sweater and a silk dress require different treatments), you may receive confirmation emails and the associated credits at different times.

Please note that we commit to inspecting your items within 15 days of receipt at our workshop. If this timeframe has not yet passed, please wait for the confirmation email. Otherwise, please contact our customer service team.

My item is not recognized in the online trade-in form

If your item is not recognized, please make sure the information you entered is correct (e.g. spacing in the reference number).

If the issue persists, it means we are currently unable to accept your item (e.g. collection too old, unsupported category, etc.). For more information, please refer to the “Acceptance Criteria” section at the beginning of the trade-in module.

What are the terms of use for my voucher?

Vouchers are valid for 12 months, and your purchase must be at least €1 higher than the value of your voucher. Vouchers cannot be modified, refunded, or canceled. They are only valid on the channel selected when generating the voucher from your account.
